Cambridge Art Club (drink and draw) – Wednesday 12th & 19th October at The Grain & Hop Store

Based upstairs in the Avery room. Expect a warm welcome and lots of encouragement as you explore your creativity. Basic materials provided. Aim to arrive at 6.15pm, so you have a chance to grab a drink before we get going at 6.30pm

Lou Lou’s Cambridge Vintage Fair – Saturday 15th October 11am – 5pm

Your favourite vintage fair is back with 25+ fabulous traders! Peruse vintage womenswear, menswear, jewellery, collectables and homewares sourced from far and wide by our specialist independent traders. Curated for the season ahead you can expect beautifully curated rails of stunning one-off vintage pieces.

Wellness, Botanical Bath Salts and Flower Arranging – Sunday 16th October & Monday 24th October 3pm – 5.15pm

In the lovely rustic studio of Battersea Bloem, all your senses will be awoken by crafting gorgeous smelling botanical bath salts and creating a flower arrangement – all to take home and enjoy! The perfect way to slow down, unwind and have some time for yourself.

Wild in the Woods (Cambourne): Family walk and pond dip – Wednesday 26th October 10am – 12pm

Join Becca Badger for an adventure on Cambourne Nature Reserve. Walk to Redgrave Water lake and spend some time pond dipping before strolling back.

This session is perfect for ages 7-11. Older children will also enjoy the activity. It is not suitable for children under 5 for health and safety reasons. Please ensure you book for everyone who will be attending on the day.

Painting and Prosecco – Friday 28th October 7.30pm – 10pm

Your sip and paint event at The Station Tavern, Cambridge will be themed around Edvard Munch‘s iconic Scream. Fill your canvas with dramatic fluid lines as you dive into the expressionist world of one of the most iconic images in art.

Huntingdon Fireworks – Friday 28th October

The Huntingdon Fireworks will return to Huntingdon Racecourse on Friday, 28th October, and will be choreographed to the soundtrack of the circus. Roll up, roll up! Buy your tickets now to join the greatest show of Huntingdon with spectacular fireworks, funfair rides and games, entertainment, stalls, food and drinks.

Spooky Snakehall Farm Fright Night 2022 – Friday 29th October

The Prospects Trust is hosting its now legendary Farm Fright Night in its dark fields this October. Spooky Snakehall welcomes all who dare enter our farm gates this Halloween. Can you brave our organic fields after dark? Polytunnels become caves of doom, woods bewitched, fields full of blood-curdling screams and beware the farmer with a chainsaw!

All funds raised by this hair-raiser are ploughed back into the running of our organic care farm supporting people with additional needs.

GHOST OF A SMILE – 30th & 31st October – 5pm (30th) 7pm (31st)

Visit Town & Gown, Cambridge for an evening of fun and a little something different

Two of Charles Dickens’ creepy tales – with a comic twist. Ghost stories that AREN’T ‘A Christmas Carol’! 

Tales with a tingle, but also a giggle! Two yarns to chill and charm! A traveller encounters a ghostly chair, and in a deserted Edinburgh carriageworks, a tipsy reveller is spirited away by…well…spirits!

Fireworks in Hemingford – Saturday 5th November – Gates open 5pm, Fireworks start 6.30pm 

Visit Hemingford’s spectacular fireworks and bonfire display. A warm welcome awaits the whole family from the cosy crackle of the bonfire and the whoosh-flash bang of the rockets, plus stalls, traditional fairground rides and a wonderful range of delicious food and enticing beverages.

Motown & Soul Night with Terry Jones – Saturday 5th November at 8:00 pm

Carnival! A sound and light show – Thursday 10th & Friday 11th November – 4.30-9.00pm (repeated every 20 mins)

Senate House will be illuminated with stunning images of creatures large and small as part of a sound and light show, produced by the award-winning creative agency, Novak. The Kanneh-Mason family’s award-winning recording of Saint-Saens’ Carnival of the Animals provides the soundtrack for a spectacular projection created using artwork produced by pupils from Castle, Arbury, St Matthews and Galfrid primary schools during workshops led by community artist Hilary Cox-Condron.

Gather to watch the lions, the fish and the swan as they are brought to life through digital animation.
