Steve Booth
Chairman
Steve has worked in Advertising, Media, Digital and Tech for over 40 years.
In 1988 he was a founding Director of Saatchi & Saatchi Media behemoth, Zenith Media.
He left to found his own Media operation Booth Lockett Makin. In 1998 he founded one of the first Digital Media operations, Quantum Media. After adding other start-ups and acquisitions, BLM Group was sold to Havas, one of the global marketing services groups in a £25m deal in 2008.
After five years with Havas as Global Development Director he left in 2013 to embark on a new career phase advising agencies, media owners and tech firms on development and growth strategies. This included The Kite Factory media agency as Chairman, ultimately selling the agency to PE firm Key Capital Partners in 2017.
Presently Steve advises a number of agencies on M&A activity, a Tech firm in Out of Home automation, a Podcast start up, The Viral Tribe, and the odd project or two.
Most recently, Steve has decided to focus his attention on Buzz Studios, joining in the role of Chairman. Plans are already well underway to help Jon and his team in developing the agency’s capabilities and ensuring its suite of Professional Marketing Services are class leading to best serve our clients.
Jonathan Orchard
Founder & Managing Director
Over a decade ago, Jon launched Buzz at his kitchen table. Today, Jon orchestrates advertising and marketing campaigns at Buzz Studios for a distinguished roster of clients, including renowned household names.
Beyond this, Jon is the founder of The Cambridge Hamper Company, and the creator of ‘What’s the Buzz?’ magazine.
When not immersed in the world of marketing, Jon enjoys cycling and spending time with his family in Norfolk. Jon is also taking part in the Dallaglio Cycle Slam this year, cycling 1400km across Italy. Abigail Cowell
Head of Creative Services
Abigail joins Buzz as the UX and web design wizard, making all your online design dreams come to life. She will use her expertise and creativity to work wonders on your website.
Abigail is a digital design master, working her way in the UX world and understanding what’s best for the user’s experience online. She has been a designer for the past 10 years, working for all kinds of industries and getting to know the design world inside and out. She will happily tell you whether or not your website is user-friendly and accessible. She is passionate about making the digital world an accessible place for all and making everyone’s life easier. She loves to be creative and open-minded to all ideas.
In her spare time, she keeps herself fit by going to the gym and going on long walks. She loves cats, has two of her own (Alan and Nathan) and so we happily talk about them. She is deep into geek culture, and loves playing video games, Magic The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons.
Elsa Peacock
Digital Marketing Manager
Elsa’s journey with Buzz started in 2019 when she boldly stepped into the role of our in-house Social Media Influencer. Fast forward to today, and she has blossomed into one of our most respected Digital Marketing Managers. She’s got a unique blend of creativity and strategic thinking that works wonders for businesses seeking social media marketing magic.
It’s no secret – Elsa is loud, and we mean that in the best way possible! Her vibrant presence and enthusiasm light up the room. You can hear her spreading ideas, laughter, and good vibes from miles away!
Outside of Buzz, Elsa devotes her time to her family. She also indulges in her passion for the influencer world, seamlessly balancing her roles as both most awesome mum and a social media luminary. We’re lucky to have her on our team, even if she does occasionally make the office walls shake with her enthusiasm!
Sam Taylor
Junior Content Producer
Sam joined Buzz in 2024, having graduated with a Master’s in Film. A passionate creator and writer, Sam grew up practically living and breathing on film and television. Fascinated by the behind-the-scenes process of script to screen, Sam constantly has his finger on the pulse of the wide world of media.
His experience working on studio floors behind the camera, using professional editing software, and in recording studios will help Buzz as they continue to grow into the world of advertising, film and podcasting.
In his free time, Sam enjoys making music on his keyboard, gaming, and adding to his ever-increasing vinyl record collection.
Ben Evans
SEO Strategist
Ben is a seasoned SEO specialist passionate about helping businesses climb the search engine rankings ladder. He leverages his extensive experience and the latest AI technology at Buzz Studios to craft data-driven SEO strategies that boost our clients’ online visibility.
Ben’s dedication to Buzz Studios runs deep. He initially joined our team in 2016, quickly demonstrating his talent and leadership skills. He rose to the position of Operations Director before taking a leave to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors with his family’s business. Fortunately for us, Ben rejoined Buzz Studios in 2024, bringing his SEO expertise back to the fold.
Jo Orchard
HR Business Partner
Jo is a partner in Buzz and an Associate CIPD CHRP. Jo consults with the management, providing HR guidance. Actively integrating the business strategy with people management practices. Jo also does the book-keeping for the company.
When not at Buzz Jo is running around being Mum to her two beautiful daughters, dancing at Tiny Tots dance classes and bouncing on the trampoline. In her spare time she loves playing netball and enjoying the fresh air walking with her dog Lira, especially at the beach.
Ray Orchard
Office Manager
In his spare time, Ray plays golf and bowls.
