Spring Into Action
May 2, 2023

Springtime is traditionally a busy time in the property market, however, this year is predicted to be slightly more challenging with all UK regions seeing a slowing in price growth, most seeing small year-on-year falls, according to Nationwide.

But these falls are not great, and certainly do not reflect some of the gloomy predictions from several property market commentators about falling values this year. The market remains surprisingly robust, given the economic headwinds that have affected movers over the last two months. Average property prices held steady in March, further evidence of the housing market continuing to rebalance in a calm, measured way.

The number of viewing requests in the first quarter has been encouraging, and people still need to move, whether they are upsizing, downsizing, relocating for work purposes or for other more personal reasons.

If you’re thinking of selling, pitching the asking price will be important, this is best achieved under the guidance of an experienced local estate agent in order to secure a timely and successful outcome.
