Our monthly Housing Market report continues to see more records in demand for properties and sales.

According to the NAEA (National Association of Estate Agents), June 2021 saw the highest ever recorded figure for properties sold for more than the asking price. Additionally, despite a slight decrease last month the average number of registered house hunters is also at an all-time record.

Since the company was founded over 30 years ago, we at Peter Lane & Partners have experienced busy markets, difficult markets and everything in between, however, it is true to say, we are all surprised with how many records have been broken within our industry over the last few months.

Although the first tapered Stamp Duty deadline has now passed, with many more buyers than properties for sale, all indications show we are still firmly in a seller’s market.
