This New Year’s Eve is going to be a little different this year, if you’re not going out, then let us give you some ideas for sprucing up your evening and making it feel special.

Let’s get this party started, make sure that you have plenty of variety of drinks for everyone, kids included. Hold a competition for the best cocktail/mocktail, release your inner mixologist and get creating.

MAKE IT A SPARKLY NIGHT

Why hold back on the sparkles just because you’re at home? Dust off your little black dress or dinner jacket and make it feel like a special evening. You can even make it a themed evening for the whole family with fancy dress, why not?

AN OUTDOOR PARTY

Get that fire pit, BBQ, Pizza oven lit up, they don’t have to be just for the summer. As long as it’s not raining then take the party outside, wrap up warm, get a pile of blankets to snuggle up under and toast some marshmallows or even roast some chestnuts, a New Year’s Eve to remember.

GARDEN BIG SCREEN

Hire or buy a projector to have in the garden for the evening, a wonderful fun thing to do for all the family. Again, wrap up warm, get that fire pit lit and hand the popcorn around. Want to keep it indoors? Then save that one film you’ve wanted to see all year and make it a cinema night indoors.

GAMES NIGHT

Who doesn’t love a board game? Dust off the Monopoly and get shaking the dice.

ZOOM FAMILY OR FRIENDS BIG QUIZ

What would we all have done without Zoom this year? Get a crowd together and get stuck into a big year quiz. All do around each so that no one is doing it all, again make it a fancy dress or theme night.
