Busker’s Festival
September 2, 2021

Calling all music and dance lovers! The Cambridge Buskers & Street Performers Festival is back this September. Performers from all around the region will gather to bring a diverse range of music, dance and street theatre for its visitors.

This free 2-day event will take place 10am-6pm Saturday 18th September and 11am-5pm Sunday 19th September 2021. From regular buskers doing their thing to performers hitting the stage for the first time! This event brings a community of extraordinary people together to showcase their talents.

Heather Bevan-Hunt, Festival Director, says: “I’m really excited the festival is back on the streets of the city and am looking forward to the fabulous array of talent Cambridge has to offer.”

In addition to this, Cambuskers Community Group has spent the last 4 years showcasing acts at Strawberry Fair, where they have their very own Buskers Stage. After taking a long-winded break due to Covid-19, the festival directors and performers are ready to make a huge comeback this September! This group aims to offer businesses, residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy a long-established tradition that dates way back to medieval times.

Cambridge is certainly a city bursting with history and plenty of annual events to return this year, and the Cambridge Buskers & Street Performers Festival is an exciting part of the local festival season this year.
